Fresh from claiming the U17 World Freestyle crown our young freestyle sensation Steven Max flew over from Aruba to make an appearance at the US Nationals hosted by the AWT. While it was easy to get him and his family there his equipment arrived just in time for his first heat.
The MAX report
It is Gorgeous, lovely and windy here. Wonderful people and great event! Literally 5 min before the 1st heat Steven finally got to rig up his Freestyle Pros, talk about timing! As you now already know, it went spectacularly. It honestly looked like Steven was going to go all the way. They really had no idea who he was and what he can do and completely underestimated Steven, so much fun to watch! It has been an exhausting trip though and very stressful will the equipment being delayed, add the cold weather and water conditions and you will not be surprised to hear that we were all knocked out and sniffling after a long day yesterday and all lights went out as soon as we got home." —Max Family
